Social Services & Child Support Division

What applications can and cannot be lodged using this form?

You can use this online form to apply for a first review by the AAT of Centrelink decisions, most Paid Parental Leave decisions and most Child Support decisions.

You cannot use this online form if you are:

  • an employer wanting a review of a Paid Parental Leave decision, or
  • a child care service or registered carer wanting a review of a decision about child care benefit or the child care rebate.

For information about how to apply for a review of these decisions, visit our how to apply page.

There are separate online application forms for other divisions of the AAT, including to apply for:

  • a second review by the AAT of a decision already reviewed by the Social Services & Child Support Division, and
  • a review by the AAT of a Child Support decision about a departure prohibition order or departure authorisation certificate.

For more information on which online form you should use for the type of decision you want us to review, visit our apply online page.

Before you can apply

Before the AAT’s Social Services & Child Support Division can review Centrelink, Paid Parental Leave and most Child Support decisions, they must first be reviewed by an authorised decision maker in Centrelink or Child Support. The only exception is if Child Support has refused to give you more time to lodge an objection.

If your decision has not been reviewed by Centrelink or Child Support, please contact Services Australia.

Fees

There is no fee to apply for review of a decision by the AAT’s Social Services & Child Support Division.
